All DMV Locations to Close on Columbus Day for Division-Wide Training
CONCORD, New Hampshire – New Hampshire Department of Safety, Division of Motor Vehicles Director John C. Marasco announces that all DMV employees will be participating in a comprehensive training day focused on customer service, professional development, and emergency preparedness on Columbus Day. It will be the first agency-wide training opportunity for all DMV employees in more than 20 years.
To provide this agency-wide training, all DMV locations throughout the state will be closed on Columbus Day, Monday, October 9. In an effort to minimize the inconvenience to our customers, the Concord, Dover, Manchester, Newport and Salem DMV offices will be open by appointment only from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Saturday, October 7. The appointment portal can be accessed via "Make an Appointment' button on dmv.nh.gov.
“This important day of training will further the ability of DMV employees to offer the gold standard of customer service that the DMV strives to provide each day, as well as employee professional development and emergency situational preparedness,” said Director Marasco.
Historical data shows the volume of customer transactions is lower than average on Columbus Day, which is not a State holiday.
